Thank you for choosing The Oriole for your stay, by making a booking to stay with us you will be are entering a binding legal contract that is subject to these terms and conditions:-
Rates – Rates indicated on our website are for the whole villa per night, the amount of rooms made available will depend on the occupancy as stated in the rates table. We offer two rates ; Rate 1 is the best rate available with full payment in advance, Rate 2 requires only a 30% advance payment with the rest to be paid at the property on arrival.
Restrictions – Only the stated number of guests in the original booking are permitted to stay overnight (maximum of two guests per room). Organised large parties or gatherings in the premises is strictly prohibited.
Children under the age of 12 years should be supervised especially when using the Swimming Pool or Jacuzzi,
The use of the Snooker Table is restricted to persons over the age of 14, children less than 14 years require full adult supervision. Any damage to the Snooker table will be charged to the guest.
eg. Damage requiring replacement of the table cloth will incur a charge of GBP 600, damage requiring re-cushioning only will incur a charge of GBP 500, replacement of broken Snooker cues will incur a charge of GBP 100
Smoking - Smoking inside the house or in the Snooker room, Games room and Pool area is strictly prohibited. You may smoke in the balconies/Patio or garden, please use the Ash trays provided to dispose of the cigarette ash and butts.
Making a Booking – For bookings made using our website the minimum stay is one night. To secure a stay with us, if Rate 1 is chosen full payment or of Rate 2 is chosen 30 % of the total price is kindly requested via PayPal or credit/debit card.
How to Book
1) Check availability.
2) Make appropriate payment (30% or full as appropriate), via PayPal or credit/debit card and confirm payment giving your email address via the Booking form
3) Booking confirmation will be sent to email address given within one working day
Sorry, we do not accept Diners or AMEX, cheque or postal order.
Cancellation – If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the villa. The Guest Refund policy applies. If we do manage to re-let the villa for the full booking, we will be happy to refund your deposit, less a £10 administration fee and the Guest Refund policy will not be applied. If we re-let the villa for part of your booking, then you will only be liable for any days that the villa is not re-let.
Guest Refund Policy
1) Cancellation Request made before 30 days of Arrival - Full refund
2) Cancellation Request made before 14 days of Arrival - 70% refund
Curtailment – If you wish to curtail your booking in advance of, or during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the villa. If we cannot re-let the villa, then you will still be liable for the remaining outstanding balance. If we are able to re-let the villa for part of your remaining booking, then you will only be liable for any days that the villa is not re-let.
No Shows – Should you fail to arrive and take up your booking without prior cancellations in accordance to the cancellation policy, a charge will be made against your credit/debit card for the full outstanding balance.
Third Party Bookings – If the person making the booking is different to the person taking up the occupation, the person who makes the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, curtailment or no show fees as well as damage or loss, and appropriate charges will be taken from their credit/debit card.
Postponements – If you need to postpone your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the villa If we do manage to re-let the villa for the full booking, we will be happy to transfer your payment to a new booking or refund in accordance to the cancellation and Guest Refund Policy, less a £10 administration fee. If we cannot re-let the villa, payments made will not be refunded and you will still be liable for the outstanding balance, which will be taken from the debit/credit card used for the initial booking. If we re-let the villa for part of your booking, then you will only be liable for any days that the villa is not re-let.
Holiday Cancellation Insurance – To cover any costs caused by you having to cancel, curtail or postpone, we recommend you taking out appropriate cancellation insurance.
Check In – On arrival you will be greeted by the resident caretaker/security, who will register you in take payment of any balances outstanding in cash only and handover the keys to the property, that will give you unhindered access. Standard check in time is 1500 hours however upon request we may be able to accommodate earlier check in subject to availability.
Lost keys will incur a £10 charge
Parking – There is free parking within the premises in the driveway or even in the basement subject to space availability. You are also free to park on the street in front of the gate.
Check Out – On the day of departure, we kindly request that you vacate the villa by 11am to allow us time to prepare the villa for our next guests. Late check out is possible only with prior arrangement and only if we do not have back-to-back bookings. Please follow the house rules given in the House Manual at the property when preparing to check out. Any balances due to loss, breakages or Fair Usage Policy is payable on departure by cash at the premises or will be charged to the credit/debit card after checkout. Invoices are available on request
During your stay – Our aim is to offer all our guests a relaxing and tranquil stay and we kindly ask guests to respect the neighbours quiet enjoyment and relaxation, loud music and noise after 11.30 pm is not permitted.
Bed linen is provided, for stays of one week linen will be refreshed once mid stay, for longer duration the linen will be changed every third day. Please liaise with the onsite caretaker for change of linen.
Refresh of towels and consumables are on request
Fair Usage Policy - Please ensure that lights and air conditioning is switched off when you are not using the relevant spaces to avoid excess charges. In accordance with our electricity usage policy please be advised that for a duration of 30 days, electricity usage is capped at 200 units, pro rata for shorter stays. Any consumption beyond this limit will incur a nominal charge of GBP 1 per unit, payable at checkout
We would really appreciate if you could turn off all lights and air conditioning when you leave the apartment each day, and on check out
Damages – please let the caretaker know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can attempt a speedy repair or clean. Spillages are more easily rectified the sooner they are dealt with. Any significant breakage or damage may result in a charge for replacement, repair or specialist cleaning. If the damage means the villa cannot be made available in good time for the next arriving guests, you may also be liable for loss of income.
Any item taken from the villa without our consent will be charged for.
Liability – We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
Privacy Policy – Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s) and/or booking diary. From time to time we may contact you by email about promotions and offers, unless you specifically tell us not to. Your details will only be used by The Oriole and we will not share them with any third party.
